Key responsibilities may include:
Personal care: Assisting with bathing, showering, toileting, dressing, and grooming.
Mobility support: Helping individuals to get in and out of bed, chairs, and walk with appropriate aids.
Meal preparation: Serving meals, assisting with eating, and monitoring dietary needs.
Medication administration: Dispensing and administering medications as directed by healthcare professionals.
Companionship: Engaging in conversation, social activities, and providing emotional support.
Hygiene maintenance: Cleaning and maintaining a client's living area.
Monitoring health: Observing changes in physical and mental condition and reporting concerns to relevant staff.
Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of care provided.
Supporting independence: Encouraging clients to maintain as much independence as possible.
You will be responsible for providing personal care and support to individuals with varying needs, by assisting with daily living activities like bathing, dressing, eating, mobility, medication administration (as instructed), and companionship, while ensuring their safety and well-being, all within the guidelines of their individual care plan.
